This picture shows the town of Calascibetta in Sicily and is taken from walls of the town of Enna.

Some info I found on the internet about Calascibetta -->

A charming center with a Middle Age structure, Calascibetta offers a rich production of wheat, grapes, olives, and legumes. Cattle breeding and sheep farms are notoriously well set off, and the deriving products are exhibited during the annual Cattle Fair, held in the months of August and September.
The name Calascibetta derives from the Arab term Qalat-sciabat, that means "the castle on the summit" due to town's particular geographical position.
The first suburb rose in 1602 by will of Count Ruggero D'Altavilla, who had a fortified castle erected, that he used as a military base to besiege the nearby town of Enna. In 1535, the town became State property, and was so until the abolition of feudality.
The most relevant monument is the Chiesa Madre (Mother Church) dedicated to S. Pietro and to S. Maria Assunta, erected in 1340 beholding an admirable baptismal font with relieves, of the XVI century, and a holy-water vessel dated back to 1500.

Hi Lavinia, very beautiful shot of this beautiful place. The smooth blues of the sky contrast well with all the contrasty and textured greens below. I like too how you cropped and framed the shot so that the foliage on either side act as a natural frame for the scene of the town and mountains in the background. Great point of view from all the way up there and great clarity and detail. I might recommend a few things: first, try to not let the photo get too bright and contrasty because there are a few little spots here and there in the lower half that are becoming overexposed, and the shadows underneath the leaves are becoming so black that they lose tonality as well; also, as much as I love that smooth sky above I find that there is a bit too much negative space above. It makes the rocky mountain top too centered in the shot and distracts from the focus on the town. Maybe crop just a bit off the top to create more balance. Otherwise an excellent shot with great focus and a lovely scene, TFS!
