Porto Venere is a town and municipality located on the Ligurian coast of Italy in the province of La Spezia. It comprises the three villages of Fezzano, Le Grazie and Porto Venere, and the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. In 1997 Porto Venere and the villages of Cinque Terre were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

The town lies at the southern end of a peninsula, which, breaking away from the jagged coastline of the Riviera di Levante, forms the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia Gulf, or also known as the Poets.
Bordered to the north by the municipality of La Spezia and south, west and east is washed by the Mediterranean Sea. Is about 14 kilometers north of La Spezia and 117 kilometers east of Genoa.
The beaches of the area are very popular, with a water crystal clear and the strong current of the Ligurian Sea, which reaches close to the coast suddenly discrete depths.

Francis,
The HDR worked very well for your composition. The boat upfront gives a nice perspective balancing with the buildings behind.
Cheers,
Wellington

Love the colors of those buildings! They look radiant even with dark clouds in the background. Nice capture of this little seaside village with good lighting and dof with sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Francis.

The quayside comes alive with the HDR and the saturated colours, dramatic skies and the closeness of this craft adds to the appeal here. Good notes added too. tfs

Hi Francis,
A lovely composition. I like the way you included the boat in the foreground. I am not sure if HDR adds anything extra to the image in this instance.
Sunil

Hi Francis...beautiful shot. Nice colors and focus. This is the type of shot the wide angle TS lens works well with.

Hi Francis

Like that there are many interesting things in this capture drawing the eye's attention. Love the repetitive, colourful buildings on the left, the church on the hill overlooking the port, and the boat with reflections in the foreground and the gray clouds add an ominous mood to the scene. Well managed HDR, light and wonderful saturation of colours. Very nice POV and DOF.

Nicely done as always.

Regards,
Taryn

Sometimes the best time to shoot is when its cloudy so the colors will all pop up :D . very nice point of view :)

Ciao Francis, great view of beautiful place, lovely composition with boat in FG, superb grey sky, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Nice composition with the eye led down the water to the luxury yacht in the distance. The cloudy sky and hdr makes this a very pleasing shot. TFS
