Monte Sant'Angelo is a town and comune of Apulia, southern Italy, in the province of Foggia.

Monte Sant'Angelo as a town appeared only in the eleventh century. Between 1081 and 1103, Monte Sant'Angelo was the capital of a large Norman dominion under the control of Count Henry, who was a vassal of the Byzantine Empire. The grotto which houses the Sanctuary of Saint Michael the Archangel where according to legend, St. Michael appeared in 490, 492 and 493, has been the site of many famous pilgrimages, which started from Mont Saint-Michel. Pope John Paul II visited the sanctuary in 1987.In the 17th century the city became part of the Kingdom of Naples, to which it belonged until the unification of Italy in the 19th century.

Hi Tsilla

Your hillside town is a painters and photographers dream location, I can imagine this being so dramatic and varied with different conditions. I like the painting type style and look to this, the paleness and minimal areas of orange are so appealing against this sky. Great notes too. tfs

Hi Tsilla,
A lovely paint-like presentation of this lovely Italian Town. Nice white buildings. I like the effect with filters you adapted. Nice frame to compliment. I also find Photoscape very interesting. I really love working with it!
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

THis is a nice travelogue picture. Though the light and the quality suffered a bit

Ciao Tsilla, like a pastel painting, fascinating view of lovely village, great PP work, wonderful colors and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Your choice of doing Pp work gives the picture a painting-like look and that really suits the scene I feel, Tsilla!

Good contrasts and perfect light with nice colors and details.
The exposure is well handled and POV is superb too.

Thanks for sharing.

This look more like a painting than a photograph! Except the clouds is a dead give away. Nice capture of this hillside village, I wonder if some of those buildings dates back to the founding of this village. Good lighting and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Tsilla, the 'painted' effect works a treat on this composition; the buildings seem to be the perfect subject for this treatment.
These old Italian towns and villages are a photographers dream don't you think?
I do not know Photoscape, but it has worked well for you here.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Good exposure values add to the painting like appearance. I especially like the cloudy sky. TFS

Wow Tsilla , oh do i like those filters and Photoscape has a lot to offer in the field of photo processing if you want to play and go beyond the normality with a photo . Good result indeed ! Photoscape is used by many here on TL , is free and my favorite too !
Anyway interesting image and very representative of the villages of that region of Italy , i like this ,
