Olá John, bom dia,
I admire the way you compose the image using a discrete diagonal and almost neutral background that highlighted not only the leaves in the foreground but also produced an interesting 3D effect (though not bother me a bit the impression of having been cut and pasted.)
It's a beautiful presentation.

Hello John, much as I love autumn, it seems far to soon to be celebrating its' colours!
I agree with you that the leaves do look like the sails of a ship.
Beautiful colours and very good sharp focus against the contrasting green bg.I like the title too.
