The Forgotten Barracks

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Another photo from our brief stop at Dunree Fort. While strolling the terrain of this old ford I came across this abandoned room which I believe is part of the barracks of the ford. What attracted me was the old bed and fire place but also the broken ceiling.
Perspective wise no line is really running straight. The affect of using such a wide angel in such a small place is clearly visible. One could go for all kinds of perspective corrections such as skewing and tilting, but the result will be that most of the wide view is gone. I therefore opted to only make a small correction on the vertical but leave the rest as is. There are other things wrong with this photo, but I leave it up to you, the viewer, to decide if those are acceptable or not. To me this photo is OK but could be much better. |
