This sixth photo of my «GAELIC DAYS» serial in homage to the Irish and Gaelic culture was taken in Avoca Valley, and it is dedicated to W B YEATS, Irish Poet and Dramatist (1865–1939), Nobel Literature Prize in 1923.

THE COMING OF WISDOM WITH TIME

Though leaves are many, the root is one;
Though all the lying days of my youth
I swayed my leaves and flowers in the sun;
Now I may wither into the truth.

This poem was taken from W. B. Yeats book
«THE GREEN HELMET AND OTHER POEMS».
I hope you enjoy.

Hi Jose,
I like much your beautiful composition!
This close-up on the trees in foreground adds more depth at the image, letting the other plan for the rocky houses. It is interesting too, to see the same luminous gray colors on the trees and houses. The red touch and alive greeneries enhanced this coloured harmony so nicely. Very clear and sharp image! That will make a very beautiful oil painter!
Congratulations et thanks for the poem! Annie

Good morning Jose,
Lovely study in contrast here--with the colour of the bark so close in colour to the stone of the building, and then the bright green and red touches acting as really effective accents.
Well done.

This is a nice change of perspective from the strong lines of the previous posting. Here I like the combination between the rich textures of the trees and the stone walls. Those red frames add just the right touch to the composition.

Appealing rich colors and textures, and a sense of coming home from the woods. I would like to see the tilt adjusted so the window verticals would be straight up and down, but otherwise a delightful composition, ripe for a poet's words. Nice work:)

Hello Jose,
I do like this artistic interpretation and homage to Yeats. Well composed, the huge tree barks naturally adorn the frame, the colors are vivid, and there is good sharpness. Best regards, Danilo

Hi Jose,
I like the way you composed the scene ... quite mysterious with things concealed by the bush. The details of the trees and their lateral lines is visually appealing and interesting. Well captured and composed! tfs

Hello Jose,

A fairytale like setting!
Very picturesque, and the many gray tones in the frame add a aging feeling and creates a special atmosphere...
Thus what is of colours stand out even more, and the red door is an eye-catcher1

Hello Jose,

Hello Jose,
I like the grey, gaelic mood here. The texture of the trees almost coincides with the texture of the houses. Wood and stone. Stone and wood. Like a marriage.
I can imagine it would have been tempting to put this one in black and white, but am glad you did not, because the resemblance between the textures would have been less clear. Colour IS important this time...
I just ask myself if you couldn't have cropped a bit the right side, as the blurred tree occupies quite a big part of the foreground. But at the same time, it creates a kind of "inversed" depth, the focus being on the houses in the background.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik
