The Cliffs of Moher, County Clare, Ireland.

This must be one of the most photographed scenes in the Republic of Ireland. It remains a magnificent scene nonetheless and I offer my "take" on it here.

Literally seconds after I took this picture we were engulfed by a violent squall which sent nearly everybody running for cover. I should have seen it coming!

Some adjustment to brightness and saturation, cropped and straightened slightly.

Very good point of view Bill, cascading rock formations look lovely.. people, if I'm not wrong, on top of the first rock top provide the sense of scale.. the only point I'd like to make is the saturation being a bit too high..

Hello Bill

Amazing capture here, awesome, powerful and yet beautiful shot. Good clarity and colours with an outstanding POV

TFS regards Helen

Great mood in the photo! My suggestion would have been to crop a little more the bottom of the photo and reduce a littloe the saturation.

This clifss are huge! Nice work.

Hi Bill,

impressing view of these cliffs! Haze gives fascination to the shot.

Not a bad place Bill,It's the first time I have seen this scene but I find it hard to imagine a better take. The light ,clarity, mist are all perfect.

Excellent Bill
This is what Holland was waiting for.
I love the scene here( as I watched in the film: Ryan's Daughter' Beautifull Bill.. the slight haze is a clever addition .. it is like that in real!
keep them coming my friend and the Silver Tulip Award for this one!

Hello Bill.
Very nice picture of this amazing place. Great colors and very good POV.

Hello my friend Bill
You have certainly shown us here that you can rise to any challenge. Very nice Bill

Any friend of JohnT is a friend of mine and that is the reason why I write this, I might leave Treklens (reed my post in Forum about Nazis) Bye for now

Hello Bill !

We can appreciate why the place is so popular. What a view! and what a beautiful day to capture an unforgettable shot. The threatening sky mixed with the brilliant sunshine, provides a wide variety of colors to the sea. The pedestrians on the trail are are giving a great idea of the scale of the cliffs.

Superb post Bill!

Hello Bill,
very grand phorograph!
I can just about make out some people on the top pf the closest cliff!
That adds a very dramatic sense of the vastness.
Atmospheric conditions, which you have also very ably captured bring another dimension to the table !

You should be proud of it :-)
Best regards, Daniel

Well done.

Nature on his best
What a shot

Hi Bill,

Very impressive capture! The POV was wisely chosen,in order to give us this lovely pattern of cliffs, made by nature in a stunning composition. The lighting is lovely and the colors very natural.
Well done,

Hi Bill,

Glad you did not see it coming and run for cover first. What a magnificant capture.
First thing I noticed where the tiny people on top of the cliff, or so I think. Really gives you a sense of scale here.
When you mentioned Ireland of course I had to see what you had in your album.

this is soooooooooo beautiful Bill.
First of all; I love the hazy greens.. and then there is the water..... wow...

hi bill, wow what a site, composed very well too, a beautiful view-stunning! the edge of the world!

Bonjour Bill,

Ces falaises sont impressionnantes, j'aime la verdure de ces falaises et la perspective qui s'efface au loin, que les gens sont tout petits! thanks for sharing!
