Thingvellir is a spiritual place in Iceland, probably the most interesting place in the region both geologically and historically.
This small chapel is an organic part of the little 'village' there.
No PP work, only crop, resize and frame.

Ţingvellir (Icelandic: Ţing: 'parliament', vellir: 'meadows')(sometimes transliterated Thingvellir), is a place in Bláskógarbyggđ in southwestern Iceland, near the peninsula of Reykjanes and the Hengill volcanic area. Ţingvellir is a site of historical, cultural and geological importance and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland. Ţingvellir National Park was founded in 1930 to protect the remains of the parliament site and was later expanded to protect natural phenomena in the surrounding area. Ţingvellir National Park was the first national park in Iceland and was decreed "a protected national shrine for all Icelanders, the perpetual property of the Icelandic nation under the preservation of parliament, never to be sold or mortgaged."
Parliament or Alţingi was established at Ţingvellir in 930 and remained there until 1789. Ţingvellir is the site of a rift valley and home to Ţingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland.

Hi Kristof,
I always wonder where you have been already.
This place is fantastic, I love the shot, the wonderful sky, this chapel, it's beautiful, thanks

Hi Kristof,
it seems we both went for a photo with a chapel. Although mine is much smaller. Your POV with the gate as an entrance to the chapel is great. You kept the perspective of the chapel in pretty good condition. I only feel that a CP filter would have given you more details in the slight burned clouds.

Niek

Great sharp picture with great POV! TFS

Bonjour Kristof,
Belle prise de vue de cette petite chapelle,
Excellent cliché et composition,
jolie architecture et détails.
Belle note et présentation,
compliments
Michel..

Nice, crisp, simple. I like the low POV and the balanced between subject and sky in terms of composition and exposure is well managed.

Hello Kristof,
You have started your series of icelandic churches with one of the most popular ones , what a great day you had, again you handled the light professionally as i know how difficult the white walls are tough to meter in such a sunny scene, interesting to look at, well i for one crave for churches and particularly the wooden ones !

Carol

Hello Kristof,
What a clean image in every way! The atmosphere, the color, the paint, and the PoV and depth you chose all working in unison allows a perfect scene to unfold. The placement of the Chapel is perfect and I like your including the stone posts in the foreground entrance.
Great work...
Steve

Extremely clear and clean picture Kris, but I would have taken some steps back, now the church is a bit too much in the composition.
The green fields and the sky also deserves attention.;]]
