[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A magnificent natural phenomenon of Iceland... Water bubbles of Stokkur Geyser are forming, and just about to erupt. I would remark that it was quite difficult to capture the right moment of the bubble formation.

Strokkur (Icelandic for "churn") is a geyser in the geothermic region beside the Hvítá River in Iceland at 64°18′46.55″N, 20°18′3.48″W.

Strokkur is only a few meters away from Geysir. However, unlike Geysir which erupts infrequently and may be dormant for years at a time, Strokkur erupts very reliably every 5-10 minutes, hurling boiling water to heights of up to 20 metres (70ft) towards the sky.

On Wikipedia site, you can also see a series of the stages of erruption. If you are interested, check that out!

I hope none of the photographers got their equipment wet, when it finally blew:)
Very difficult to time this type of subject matter unless of course you take lots of images, but you really caught it perfectly as it was about to blow, Kristoff, well taken.

Hi Kristof
Very much you are demonstrating interesting places. I am congratulating on the expedition and the beautiful shooting.
Anna

WOW!
You have captured this at a very good moment indeed Kristof! Great light and colors here.

Cheers,
Anneke

Excellent timing! Really there isn't much latitude to get this right! You caught the water at just the right instant. I'm impressed by the colour inside the swelling bubble of water.
Amazing shot, well done!

Marci
