One of the beautiful hills of Buda side of Budapest: Gellért Hill. (Captured from Pest side of the Hungarian captial.)
PP work: turned into black and white, frame, titles.

Gellért Hill (Hungarian: Gellért-hegy; German: Blocksberg; Latin: Mons Sancti Gerhardi; Turkish: Gürz Elyas bayiri) is a 235 m high hill overlooking the Danube in Budapest, Hungary. It is part of the 1st and 11th Districts. Gellért Hill was named after Saint Gerard who was thrown to death from the hill. The famous Hotel Gellért and the Gellért Baths can be found in Gellért Square at the foot of the hill, next to Liberty Bridge. The Gellért Hill Cave is located within the hill, facing toward Hotel Gellért and the Danube River.

Morning Kristof!
nice catch and good idea for sepia
it look like from those old almanacs
good light and sharpness!

Have a grate day!

Oana

Hi Kristof,
Nice shot, good thinking with the B&W. The water looks like concrete due to the lack of colour, nice sharp details on the building and hills in the distance. Great note too.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Kristof

The cars along the riverside road, provide good scale, as to just how big the Danube River really is. Good tonal range & sharpness & I like the warm sepia tone. Tfs!

Hi Kristof,

Nice, crisp shot of the Danube and Gellért Hill. It works well in sepia, which gives the photo an old feeling (except for the cars of course), but I wonder what the color version looks like. Very sharp, taken from a good perspective.

Best regards,
Werner

Hello Kristof.
Interesting composition here.
I remember Gellert Hill from my trip to Budapest when I was a young boy.
Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Janek Kloss

Hi Kristof,
You didn't only turned it to black and white, but used sepia too, isn't it?
Thanks for showing this scenery. I've never been to budapest and never saw this before.
I guess there will be many accidents with cars running into the water.
TFS
Joop!

Good evening Kristof,

impressive view on Gellért Hill, great perspective and excellent details. Good choice to convert this image to B/W, because it creates this special atmosphere in the photo.

Have a good night,
