|I had the good fortune to visit the Aropolis during a business trip to Athens. Magnificent doesn't start to discribe the ancient building here.|
The detail on the smaller Erechtheion was more impressive than the Parthenon, so I spent quite some time photographing this building.
It was built between 421 and 406 BC
PP: Cropped a little, upped contrast quite a bit as it was a very bright day and difficult to define shape, even using the sun as backlighting.

the acropolis of Athens is magnificent indeed. amazing old architecture. you had a day of marvelous blue sky to upgrade the site.

Amazing the artisians work that was produced here that long ago. I like the pov you have used in your composition. A great use of vision in your work.
Lovely shot and taken from a wonderful angle.
The details in the columns are very sharp against a wonderful blue sky.
