Dear TL-ers,

Today, I come up with wonderful artwork in the old German city of Dresden. This is the picture from "The Fürstenzug — the Saxon sovereigns", located in the city center of Dresden.

Technical Quality of the picture:

I am sorry for that as the sky is blown out but sometimes, to get better details, one has to compromise with certain factors :( I hope you understand what I mean :)

I like the mood here and I hope you too :)

best greetings,
Paras

Information about Dresden (from Wikipedia):

Dresden (Upper Sorbian: Drježdźany) is the capital city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. It is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near Czech border. The Dresden conurbation is part of the Saxon Triangle metropolitan area.

Dresden has a long history as the capital and royal residence for the Electors and Kings of Saxony, who for centuries furnished the city with cultural and artistic splendour. The city was completely destroyed by the controversial Allied aerial bombing towards the end of World War II. The impact of the bombing and 40 years of urban development during the East German socialist era have considerably changed the face of the city. Some restoration work has helped to reconstruct parts of historic inner city, including the Katholische Hofkirche, the Semperoper and the Dresdner Frauenkirche. Since the German reunification in 1990, Dresden has re-emerged as a cultural, educational, political and economic centre of Germany.

The Elbe Valley of Dresden was for five years an internationally recognised site of cultural significance by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. After being placed on the list of endangered World Heritage Sites in 2006, the city had its status as world heritage site formally removed in June 2009, for the wilful breach of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, through the construction of a highway bridge across the valley within 2 km of the historic centre. It thereby became the first ever place in Europe to lose this status, and the second ever in the world.

Hi Paras,
A fine perspective of the wall. I like
the way the roof tops crown the wall in
the far end. The wall presents fine graphism
as well. Very impressive POV and DOF. Well done.
Have a lovely day.

Hi Paras

Good use of diminishing linear perspective. The people add scale. Excellent color & framing. Tfs!

Hi Paras,

No you are showing some great piece of art work through your camera eye with creative POV and composition,a goo d depth can be seen but a little over exposed in far BG specially the sky due great contrast of dark shades in FG,but s good controlled low light shot keeping the main subject in good focus and exposed very well,a good old German city of Dresden presentation.

Hello Paras,
The wall picture is impressive from the chosen pov. The cloudy weather helped capture good details and provided even exposure. I have not been to Dresden and this is certainly fine viewing, good Note. Cheers.

Hi Paras,

A very good POV to capture both the interesting artwork and the old architecture. The sky is not a problem for me. The exposure on the buildings is proper and that's what matters the most. One day I hope to return to Germany for a visit.

Best regards,
Werner

dear Paras,
nice perspective view of wonderful art work and people,
cold weather but people look warm and cheerful,
no walking one looks up this wide artistic wall, and illustrated old people too,,,this parallel feeling is interesting,
maybe the historical time is like that,
thank you for your joyful capturing,
Akihisa

Hi Paras!

Beautiful capture of this art work. I love art, and I've never seen anything like this on a building. Great note!

Amicalement
JJ
