After several days in Normandy, I had the chance to photograph sunsets .... But no sunrise .... Get up early on holidays is not my cup of tea.

During several evenings I watched the sunsets, all different, wonderful show of nature, it is a blessing.

It's not in my comfort zone .... I liked the silhouettes, and I watched a father and his son who admired the sunset.

I was touched by that scene. Looks like a decisive moment.

I used the sunset mode and I accentuated the contrast and color.

I tried to remove the spots. (Never leave your camera on the beach without protection .... the grains of sand are a disaster!)

Wow.

Some may hate the halo effect across the diagonal of the shot, but i think it works brilliantly.
Excellent sharp detail in the silhouette of father and son, and i also like the tiny details of the ships on the horizon.

Fine composition here Daisy, and a powerful relationship is told by their very relaxed poses.

Excellent work,

Martin

Hi Daisy,
A sharply well defined silhouetted lines created by sea, father and son. The diagonal " line of fire" has formed an interesting element of focus as does the soft cloud formations. And of course watch those sand grains - absolutely spells disaster.

All I want to say is that it is beautiful

Hi Daisy

The two silhouettes really makes a big difference. They look amazing against the beautiful sky. Nicely composed.

I don't think that the horizon is level, but that is easily fixed

Bonjour Daisy,
R.
