Bonjour Francis
there is a chimney , there is a system for extraction , and even with bricks- so that for me the picture fits well for th theme.
But it is clear it is first worth for its artistic composition and beautiful shot of our Alsace.

An image that permeates the classical European imagery: chimneys and storks' nests.
I can swear that Steve Fry to launch this theme was present a something similar.
Your photo is not only a fine contribution for the Theme, but also a great picture, among yours best.

As usual for you, excellent detail with everything sharp and clear. The chimney and the nest are well balanced. Although there is empty space on the top right, it doesn't seem to matter as the eye isn't drawn to this area.

Hi Francis Xavier,I remembered from a visit to Germany many years ago,having the pleasure to view storks using a chimney as your image shows,& was hoping a member would perhaps include it for this weeks theme,I thank you for that, as it brings back some very fond memories.I find your image has a perfect balance with the storks at one end & the lone chimney standing tall at the other.Lots of details,good colour captue & a perfect fit for the theme.TFS

I echo Ronald's terms to describe the view you present here , the chimney in its higher position at one end of the roof seems to tower over the large nest and the storks going about cleaning their feathers sited lower at the other end , balance and harmony are what make this compo work for me , good light too and it suits the theme , tfs,

I believe your subject is a worthy contribution to the Friday Theme. The stork nest adds much to the images and the steep slope of the rood add a very dynamic and anglaur element to the composition. The angle and color of the light creates a warm and beautiful image.

Hello Francis, I don't think that I have ever seen nesting storks on a roof for real; something that I would like to see!
A good composition with strong shapes and lovely textures.
I wonder where the storks would go if there were no chimneys?
