A view from the roof of my hotel, looking along the 'Promenade D'Anglais' (or is it Des Anglais?) It was a nice 45 minute walk along the seafront here to the old town in the distance...

A nice day, especially with a CP in front of the lens.

Hi David

Nice is nice! Love that 'c' shaped curve of the beach & the water color is so very different from the North Sea. (I've had a few adverse critiques that my tropical beaches are way oversaturated because the water is not grey like the North Sea). But the water really IS this shade of turquoise. Good high pov & excellent sharpness. Tfs!

Love the higher POV which unveils the beauty of this place so nicely, dear DAvid!

Marvelous details and colors are simply wonderful.
The color tones of the water add another piece of charm and beauty to the overall appeal of the scene.
A daily-life scene is well shown in this work.

Great work!

Kind regards,
Paras

Bonjour David,

Bon travail.

Salutations

Yolande

Hello David,

Hi David,
You obtained a lovely composition with this nice curve of the Promenade. Nice soft lighting and beautiful pastel colors. A beautiful contrast from left to right with a splendid sky. A considerable depth into the perspective. Maybe I would suggest a little contrast!
Good work.

Hi David,I love the pov with the long curve of the beach and that beautiful water. Now can you tell us why theres nobody near the water when it looks like such a beautiful day? What a waste. Fiona

Beautiful image, David, delightful to see. Excellent POV and narrow DOF and perfect sharpness and colors.
It is a great and successful challenge to still be able to make a good postcard from that city so pictured.
Compliments,
R.

Hi David,
Beautiful PostCard from Nice..well presented and composed,
Nice point of view from your Hôtel roof and perpective.
Beautiful vivid colors and light,
compliments
Michel

Hello David, your elevated PoV has given us a lovely picture of Nice, with its' promenade, beach, sea and distant scenery.
I would imagine that the colours are true to life.
Fantastic DoF.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Bonjour David
Always a perfect sharpness and dof, colours are intense
Uou must say "Promenade des Anglais", otherwise it looks english (with or without promenade), but you can also say
Nice is nice....
Best regards
Henri

Hi, David,
what a gorgeous day to get such a shot! The light is wonderful. Great POV with the beach curving around, the water is just unbelievably blue, very nice balance to the whole shot and I love how you can see details even in the far mountains. That's a grand shot!! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Hi David,
a beautiful view of the waterfront at Nice, the hotel balcony has given you a perfect viewpoint and CP has worked well
cheers
Jack

David

C'est la Promenade des Anglais.
Oh yes Nice is nice, I really like this point of view in height for all to admire.
There is good detail and stunning colors.
I like the tones of blue.
The cars, the road give dynamism to the photo, it's really beautiful.

Hi David,
I agree with all the accolades above and what really strikes me most is the excellent and very pleasant colour balance. There is just nothing here that is not in harmony with the rest. Nice or Durban Beachfront or Cape Town...irrespective....it is just beautiful. Very well done indeed. Best wishes.

Bonjour David,
Je me disais cela me rappelle quelque chose, Nice je l'ai connu toute petite...
Ca a bien changé mais il y a toujours cette belle promenade des Anglais...
Belle composition pleine de jolis détails, avec de beaux palmiers, toute une vue sur la côte et des couleurs superbes, une vraie carte postale...
Amitiés
Odile

A postcard shot. Love the sweeping lines of the great bay.

Hi David,

The curve of the beach is sending my eyes toward the hills or mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the Promenade des Anglais and of the beach. The quality of the light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
