That quiet extraordinary moment happend last May, when me and Dawid went for three-day trip to visit Paris. When we was driving around that lovely city to find the hotel (it took us about 2 hours...doesn`t matter..) suddenly weather has changed and from nice and shiny day it turned into that what you see on that picture.it is just before it started to rain. And when it has already started we had to stop the car cause we couldnt see anything. The wind was so strong that all dust and rubish from the ground was in the air strugling ( probably to find a soft landing ;o) ) and everything was mixed with that wall of so havy rain!

finally it has finished after one hour, and everything went back to normal, exept the air- it was fresh and smelled like without any polution.

i realy enjoyed that rain in Paris...

Witam Maya :o),
Believe me or not, but I just had a look in the French gallery and spontaneously clicked on the thumbnail of your photo without knowing WHO was the photographer (I switched off photographer's name and points under the thumbnails, as you might remember). My first reaction was: welcome back to TrekLens, Maya! ;o)
Of course, it was the sky that attracted me at first. You were the right woman at the right moment! I like this kind of "inner" glow of the clouds: it is warm and menacing at the same time. The peculiar foreground (not shabby, but not "rich" either) adds to that atmosphere. Interesting use of your wide angle lens as well, with the buildings "tilting" towards the clouds. 18mm ! I've never used such lens.
Some suggestions somehow:
- as "ablok" says, it would be wise to clean your lens, but as this picture was taken in may, I suppose you did it since ;o);
- when opening the photo, I was slightly disappointed by the small size (only 640x427). I don't mind small size photo's, but the sky in THIS thumbnail looked SO great and SO WIDE... I would have opted for an 800x600 size here (the maximum allowed on TL).
But these are details, of course... Once again, there is a great atmosphere in your photo. Let's enjoy the rain!
TFS & a kind "pozdrawiam" from Belgium!
Erik
