A hard one to get right with the bad weather and the backlighting. I did not get it right but I kinda like it anyway. I liked these trees! Shot taken from the driver window of a rental car near Gordes in France.

Well yes I agree .. difficult light conditions, however you did well to capture this scene from your car window. I do like the composition and the tops of those trees against the dramatic sky.
It must be a lot of work to keep these trees all looking so pristine :)
Have a nice week Mario
Trudy

Bonjour Mario

Magnifique capture, belles couleurs, bravissimo.
Belle semaine à toi.
Amicalement.

Yolande

Hi Mario - Beautiful, fanciful composition. I like the jolly trees contrasted with the morose sky.

Hello Mario,

great shot of these groomed trees - they have a surreal wonderland look to them. Nice point of view along the path..I like the foreboading sky and lighting in the background.

Hi Mario..it is a pleasure to wake up and see your great shots in the morning. Wonderful tones and light here...Great shot.

Roger

Hello Mario!

I like many subjects, and manicured landscapes are one of them. This is a beautiful scene, and your POV and composition are very nice.

I took a shot yesterday with a similar situation, but opposite. Do you think a smaller aperture setting would have helped? I'm trying to learn these things.

I think it's a great shot that I would be proud of, and the clouds are awesome!

Bonjour Mario,
C'est vrai que ces arbres sont magnifiques!
excellent cliché malgré le mauvais temps ,
belles couleurs et détails.
compliments
Michel

Hello, Mario -
Fantastic image - perfect POV (from your car window, no less!) and the low light actually gives it a slightly foreboding feel which is very effective. The repeating oddly shaped trees are a wonderful device. Excellent.

Hi Mario
wonderfully shaped trees under dramatic sky.
good pov for a fine capture.
well composed with the curved path.
beautiful deep colors.
greetings
tsilla

Hello Mario!

Originally cut off trees, they look beautifully.
Miraculous composition, colours, light and sharpness.
Very curious formulation!!!
I congratulate realization!

My best wishes.
Barbara

The weather worked in your favour here Mario - those clouds add such drama to the scene, giving the trees an appearance of strange creatures waiting to be woken by a strike of lightning from above.

The the light has also created a rim light effect down the edges of the trees, which is fantastic!

I do wish the lampposts weren't there!

Hi Mario,

The darkness and ominous clouds make the well groomed trees look like sentries guarding who knows what. I like the view down the winding path. Interesting work.

Best regards,
Werner

Hi Mario, I like what Rew says about this shot, but the lampposts don´t bother to me because that scenario is not wild nature, it´s human controlled nature (the path, the trees prune...)

The wet path texture and colour looks beautiful and looks like those clouds have already given us part of their fruit :)

Ciao Mario,

An interesting site with wonderful trees!
I like their drop-shaped form keeping great control on DOF.

The clouds add great mood into the shot. For me, a kind of 3-D composition!

best regards,
Paras

Ciao Mario, difficult light, but fascinating composition with great perspective in a wonderful garden, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello dear Mario!

This is so wonderful and splendid shot dear Mario! Such shots one would only imagine in animated cartoons or movies like Harrypotter. Very dramatic and lovely composition and mood here.

TFS, indeed a lovely shot!

Best Regards,
ALi

Well manicured trees indeed! Great shot, TFS

Bonjour Mario.
L’effet météo est bien rendu dans cette image et le ciel chargé donne un aspect naturel à cette photo.
Le cadrage est aussi bien posé avec le chemin qui amène le regard au centre de l’image.
Bonne journée.
Urs

I like it too, with your POV and composition to get the street lights well placed for the best visibility against the trees.
Well done,
Robert

Hello Mario, a good perspective looking down the avenue of beautifully shaped trees.
You are very critical of your shot, but the grey sky and the backlighting make this a beautiful picture.
I like the lamp-posts, I don't know why, but they do add something to the composition.
Tfs, regards Jean.
