TE book cover

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The inspiration for this cover is the kind of stylised maps known from railway, subway, and tram networks.
The name TrekEarth suggest moving on paths across the earth so I think this pattern of arrows is a relevant symbol.
The upper and lower arrow is rendered as a line of text with place names.
A few photos are collected in a block around the spine of the book with arrows emanating from them.
This of course suggest that the photo comes before the travel and it would be a valid criticism to claim that it should be the other way around, the photos should be at the end of the travel/arrows. But that wasn't good for composition, and that is of course more important. I'll just claim it's the photos on TE that inspires to traveling, so there!
A view of the complete spread is shown in the workshop version. |

Hi Torbem, you're on fire! everyday a new and fantastic version!
I understand your note, but i do agree with this version, the photos are best in there.
Mario
The only thing is that as such it doesn't give immediatly the impression of a photo-book, but if the tracks were spread over several photos in white then the photos are spotted again, the layout as such is a nice related eyepuller to tracks of railways, indeed.
Why not using some photos of Cesar to center as he started the dream and he is still the original radiating power that grows with all our support......
Thanks Torben for your incredible creativity.
This is cool and very classy but for me it lacks enough photographic content. I like your fonts and your aesthetic overall, however.
