|I have just had a short holiday in Croatia to see the Plitvice lakes.|
I took several pictures and I wish to share some of them with you.
VISITING THIS PARK IT WAS A VERY EXITING EXPERIENCE !!
I HAVE NOT ADJUSTED THE COLOURS OF THE PHOTO.
COLOURS ARE JUST SO.
Plitvice Lakes National Park is situated in Croatia.
The protected area extends over 296.85 square kilometres (73,350 acres). In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register among the first natural sites worldwide.
Every year, more than 1,200,000 visitors are recorded. Entrance is subject to charges. Strict regulations apply.
The national park is world famous for its lakes arranged in cascades. Currently, 16 lakes can be seen from the surface. These lakes are a result of the confluence of several small rivers and subterranean karst rivers. The lakes are all interconnected and follow the water flow. They are separated by natural dams of travertine, which is deposited by the action of moss, algae, and bacteria. The particularly sensitive travertine barriers are the result of an interplay between water, air and plants. The encrusted plants and bacteria accumulate on top of each other, forming travertine barriers which grow at the rate of about 1 cm per year.
The sixteen lakes are separated into an upper and lower cluster formed by runoff from the mountains, descending from an altitude of 636 to 503 m (2,087 to 1,650 ft) over a distance of some eight km, aligned in a south-north direction. The lakes collectively cover an area of about two square kilometers, with the water exiting from the lowest lake forming the Korana River.
The lakes are renowned for their distinctive colors, ranging from azure to green, grey or blue. The colors change constantly depending on the quantity of minerals or organisms in the water and the angle of sunlight.
Through different climatic influences and the large difference in elevation within the protected area, a multifaceted flora and fauna has been created. The national park area is home to many endemic species. Those species that prevailed at the lakes before the arrival of man still exist.

Your perfect choice of framimg projects this amazing scene out to us as if we were there ready to jump in. The magical light captured on the leaves aid in the illusion of the 3D-type effect felt. Perfect clarity, angle of shot and emotion felt, you must be over the moon with this result, TFS

What a wonderful place for a cool refreshing swim on a hot day! The color of the water is amazing, and natural too. I have seen uploads of this place before, & some unkind critics remarked it was oversaturated, but that's not true, as there are minerals dissolved in the water that give it this turquoise colour. Good motion blur of the cascades. Tfs!

Beautiful light on these waterfalls which I visited two years ago in Croatia. Splendid green tones both in the fresh water and the foliage of the surrounding trees of this marvelous Natural heaven.
A very sharp image and a pleasant POV to include nearly all the falls.
Very neat work.
A lovely capture from a wonderful waterfall with amazing focus and clarity, Vanda!
Good use of natural light and contrasts within the scene are just praiseworthy.
The exposure is well handled and colors are natural as well.
How were your holidays or are still enjoying them? :)
Hello Vanda, your framing seems to emphasise the green colours even more! The colours are amazing!
It is a beautiful picture with excellent sharpness throughout the shot, well done.
No wonder so many people visit here every year.

Great PoV, for you have not embeded the sky into your frame, so to reach to a better light management. The PP frame has been a good addition to your photo in my opinion.
