Late 'blue' hour in Plovdiv - the old town. A fascinating jumble of old buildings and narrow cobbled streets. The one car passed by during the 30 second exposure....

RAW - and because the sky was nearly black I processed 2 extra images from the original RAW file to pull some colour back. That leads to 'noise' in the HPP files but I've done my best to mitigate that.

30 seconds @f9, ISO100 and 10mm.

Hello David.
This looks so unreal...I love it! Colors, light and wide-angle distortion make it really special. Very well composed.

Hi David,
Awesome shot, the buildings look very empowering from this POV. Good idea to process extra images, I can't see any traces of noise at all so it looks like you've done a great done of getting rid of it. The light blur is a bonus too. Well photographed.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello David

Excellent image of this place. I like the POV and Exposure. How many times did you take this image before you settled on 30 seconds.

Regards
Jimmy

Hi David,
A fantastic capture of this architecture with a fabulous HPP treatment.
Marvelous colors and a very modern approach of artistic photography.
Nice lighting and texture!
Great courageous job!
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi David,

My first thought when I saw this in the thumbnail was "Van Gogh"! Yes, It's just my imagination, but he could easily paint this scene with the colors and bright tones.

I like the modern brightness of the colors, especially the blue sky! It's gorgeous. Also, the lines of the buildings and cobblestone road add a lot of interest. The architecture itself is very interesting. I'm glad the car drove by too... :)

Hello David,

This is a very exciting shot!
I love the strong colours and the 'friendly' attitude of the buildings.
The focus is sharp and little evidence of noise.
It reminds me very much of a painting rather than a photograph.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

weird colors and lighting, congrats for this unusual WIDE photo

Yeah, you are a master of the blue hour David! This is wonderful! The colors here are so vibrant! The extreme wide angle makes this shot work so well, the light trail through it! It has a surreal feel! You are one of the best at this type of shot! Good job!

Love this "van Gogh" of yours !

congrats,

Hey Bro! I reckon I've seen this street in a James Bond movie.
Great evening/night shot, good POV and the light trails are a added bonus that help make the shot.
Cheers and TFS,
Phil

A fabulous shot. I see what Lisa means by the Van Gogh effect...it does have that sort of feeling to it.

Hi David
I love the strong graphic impact of this work; the powerful POV and compo, the solid colours, the strong contrast, the bright light... Excellent work.
My compliments, mb

Hi David,
I like this nocturnmal composition, the tilted POV and the beautiful, colourful buildings make it a special shot. You used the available evening light very well, sharpness is excellent, but the sky looks a bit noisy, never mind though, still a great photo! TFS!
Greetings,
Kristof

Hi David....nice composition..great tones..nice job.
