Hi Erik,

This has a bit of a "Poe" feeling to it, moody and mysterious. I like the effect, it would probably work really well in a cemetery shot. Nice pp work.

Best regards,
Werner

Nice and good picture!

Hello Erik!

Beautiful light and composition! I really like the mood of the picture! Congratulations!

Hello and see you soon,
Edward

Hello Erik

What was the focal length where u've used the 1/30?
Why is the b/g's wall distorted? is this the barrel distortion of ur lens?

I like the soft focus, here right hand is in motion blur (giving the sens of life) but really do not like the vignetting effects or may be its to heavy :)

Cheers

I'll give you this: it's enigmatic. It feels like a still from a music video. The significance of the pose, the rose, is a little lost on me, so it almost has that feeling of being deliberately obtuse.

Those things said, technically I think it is an interesting an quite compelling shot. The Lumix has delivered good sharp details and tones despite the slow shutter, and your vignette is effective in creating mystery to either side of the subject.

I find a slight conflict in the top of her hat and the rough concrete edge that curves through the upper part of the shot, I would so liked to have seen a continuation of the smooth wall instead - I know you can't control your locations, but sometimes working with them differently can make all the difference.

I do like your titling with reference to the graffiti, and I really like the originality and unusualness of this image.

Very nice!

>:-)

Groetjes
Jan

I don't like the descending line above her but I like a lot the mistery here

thanks,
v
ps.Maybe a monochrome version will reduce the impact of that line because the color above&below would be the same.

HI Eric..nice dramatic shot...well composed with nice details and tones.

Roger

Bonjour Erik,

dear Erik,
this atmosphere is poetic,
dark light and calm colors match it,
and her figure and one rose show me your original feeling in this situation,
ambivalent ambience of melancholy and cheer is hidden,
thank you,
Akihisa

This is interesting, somewhat MOODY! What caught my eye was her poncho, jacket..the tones and textures are nice! The rose stands out well! Nice experiment!

Erik, after perusing your entire gallery here on TrekLens, I find this image one of your most intriguing and provocative! All the proper lines and lighting lead to the flower, which is what I supposed you were hightlighting. If so you did a wonderful piece of artwork and imaging to capture the mood. The only fault I find in this photograph is the out of place lines on top of the image. They seem to detract from the over declaration of the girl and the flower. Other than that, Excellente A+1. Sincerest best wishes, JoeGoff, Louisville, KY
