Hello Frank
This is an interesting lamp - I first thought it was a tree hut and thought that the grandchildren would like one like this.
How do you "Change the picture layer to a smart object."??
And now looking closer I can see the lamp - it looks good hanging down like this. The glow shining out lights the room up nice and softly. I like it.

Nou Frank, dat is niet verkeerd - Belgische Ardennen?

Jouw PP werk gaat me even boven mijn pet, maar het resulterende plaatje ziet er prettig en intiem uit, dus daar gaat het om.
Weet je dat ik eerst dacht door een gat in een oude muur naar een verlichte hut te kijken?
Heb je verhaal gelezen - een rustieke lamp verlicht door een spaarlamp.

Tough subject matter in tough lighting conditions. This is one of those shots, having tried some myself, that continually remind me of what a wonderful piece of equipment the human eye is, in combination with the human brain.
Just to be able, even for a very good camera, to be able to come close to replicating what the eye natively sees, as evidenced by your very fine and complete note and description of your efforts, is not a trivial level of effort.
On to the photo itself.
Given the conditions I think you did a good job capturing and balancing all the extremes of light and dark while maintaining the fine details of the various pieces of the image.
Good work, lots of effort here, but it paid off.

Aangename kleuren en compositie Frank.
Indien de rest van dat restaurantje in dezelfde sfeer
is dan mag de keuken al wat minder zijn :-)

M'n enige " but " ( omdat ik hier moet ) :
2de " raam " vanaf rechts daar had ik toch geprobeerd
om naar wat minder OE te werken.
