[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The flea market: In 1849, the city authorities decided to regulate the sale of bric-a-brac and to only allow jumble sales at the Place Anneessens. In exchange for this commitment, the travelling tradesmen were authorised to sell their goods every day of the week, except on Sundays which is reserved for culture and resting. The market left this square in 1873 and moved to the Place du Jeu de Balle.
