MISS LONELY HEART
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
It is probably not just me but a few others must have noticed this woman going on this trip by herself. She is always standing by the deck rail by herself. I have not seen her take a land tour. I was just coming back from a land tour when I saw her standing by herself again. Is her boyfriend working in the ship? Is she supposed to meet a friend in the ship but the ship left without him? Is she broken hearted? I will never know.
"None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness
Alone and parted
Far from joy and gladness
Heaven's boundless arch I see
Spread out above me
O(h) what a distance ........ to one
Who loves me
None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness
Alone and parted
Far from joy and gladness
Alone and parted far
From joy and gladness
My senses fail
A burning fire
Devours me
None but the lonely heart
Can know my sadness".
From a Frank Sinatra song "None But The Lonely Heart"

Interesting shot that has a story. The background is a bit strange, as one would expect to see water. But the composition is good, with a good use of the curved rail. Good observation, André!

Hi Andre- a wonderful shot and story- great lines and deep wood tones in the railing and the decking. I like the unusual background, not the ocean, as we would expect, which adds further intrigue to the shot-well done!
Best wishes,
Steve
Curiuous for her face expression; could be anything in all moods. You were worried I read.
A picture with a question mark; or she just wants warm sun.
Thanks Andre

Hi Andre - This shot attracted my attention also because of the title. I wanted to know more about her. Unusual to see land instead of water with a shot like this one. I like the perpsective, the colours and your note! The ever observant photographer. TFS.
Cordelia :-)
