[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Orient Beach (Baie Orientale) on the northeast coast of Saint-Martin island draws a lot of tourists, many from cruise ships that pull in to Philipsburg (Dutch capital and port) for a day or two. Where there are tourists there is a market for beach-wear, handbags, hats, and assorted "kitsch." A half dozen ladies, laden like pack mules, ply the beach for customers. Rule of thumb... never pay more than 60% of their asking price!
