[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The was taken from the beach at Playa Aserradero near the village of Las Galeras in Dominican Republic. This is where our hotel/resort was. It is a beautiful place, a shallow bay of calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkelling.

This was one instance where I intentionally ignored the rule of thirds, as I wanted to capture both the calm waters and the beautiful sky. The line of coconut trees made a nice separator of the two. I am rather pleased with the result. Sometimes the rules are meant to be broken.

Love the color grading of the water leading the vision to an island full of palm trees, a scene to enjoy for ages I feel, Sunil!

Great focus and well caught contrast against a blue sky.
Colors are natural and DOF is excellent.
Well caught light and exposure.

Hi Sunil.

Serenity itself. I love the scene but would have preferred more sky as this appears to central in horizon. The scene itself is somewhat beatiful with swaying palms and apt framing. tfs
