[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Leaving the docks in Rouseau, Dominica after a beautiful but occasionally showery day there appeared over the hills this cloud formation. Obviously this was the leading edge of the front that had spawned the occasional showers but now was about to get down to business....and it did!! It poured!! The wind picked up and blew the rain right at me minutes after this shot so I ducked for cover and was glad to be where I could find some.
Shot in RAW,time in exif is an hour behind, converted to jpeg. Cropped left to right, mostly, and a little top to bottom to get the focal point a bit more proper. Used the wide angle lens at the time to try to put some perspective on the size of the front. It was also amazing how quickly we moved from daylight to, effective, night once the clouds with their payload of water took over.

This is a beautiful landscape, or seascape, Wilt. Good light on the water and on the houses, the hills in the back could maybe use a little more light. On the other hand, it renders a gloomy mood now, and that's not too bad either.

Hi Wilt,
This coming deluge is shown with a so convincing way!
I like this dramatic sky well reflected on the sea. It is the war between the light and darkness, here! In the middle, the small colorful houses seems so brave!
