[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Back in March 2001 , we discovered Playa Caleticas. And then Martine said Cuba Si!
We were charmed. Weeks after, back in Canada ,I offered Martine if she was interested in going again at the same place. But there was a big condition ( LOL ! ). Well she accepted the condition.

So we went again in March 2002 for a special picnic .

Since then we are visiting every year the resort.....

This tree is therefore a very special one for us.... This year , she was not wearing her wedding dress, but was more confortably dressed. (^_^). You will note all previous photos were taken around it.

This one is for you Martine ! (^_^)

As she is sitting in the shaded area, again, I had to compensate and balance the luminosity.

Image slightly tilted to correct the horizon.

Très belle photo de martine dans un environnement de rêve. J'aime bien comment tu as très bien géré la lumière et les ombrages, Pour avoir Martine bien éclairé dans cet environnement si ensoleillé. Bravo.

This is a wonderful shot! Very tropical indeeed. A fill flash here would be useful but the thing is, you'd need one hell of a light, or even set of lights to fill flash here :) almost like another sun pointing out from your camera :))

A good shot, Robert. What's equally impressive is the improvement from the earlier one posted here versus this new one. Better camera, better photographer, better post-processor!

Maybe you can get a kickback from the Cuban Department of Tourism. Or at least a free airfare next time! ;-)

Hi Robert,

This is a wonderful shot. I love the composition and the color. But I share with the observation of John. A fill flash or reflector is needed here. Or maybe, a shot at a much later time when the angle of the sun is lower could have improved it. Be that as it may, it is a beautiful photo. TFS.

Hi Robert, this truly is a lovely photo and you did a great job of bringing Martine out although as you say she was sitting in a shaded area. I am surprised you didn't have to work with layers (something I am no good at, but I thought it the only way to solve this kind of problem). Maybe the sand is just a tad too white, but I guess that is the way it is in that kind of sunshine. Great place.

Beautiful one, Robert. Err... Martine, I mean ;o)). A pity she's covered in the shade of the tree. Maybe some spot metering could have solved your luminousity issue... Anyway, seems like a lovely resort.
