I'm unexperienced with the light. It seems to be overexposured in some areas in her face. Maybe I should have reduced 1/3 stop in EV .

Thank you all for useful comments.

I hardly see any overexposure in her face, Giap. I'd rather say the background looks a tad too washed-out. I would have selected and darkened it a bit by postprocessing - but not too much as it may not detract our attention from your model on the foreground.
I like the way you "embedded" her in this scenery, creating an interesting contrast between the dark wall and the flashy red of her long cloth. I think I just would have opted for a POV a little more to the left, leaving out some centimeters of the right part of the photo (even if this implies cropping a part of the red cloth). In my opinion, indeed, there is a bit too much "useless" space in the back of your model.
A model who achieved a good pose and facial expression : static, enigmatic - coherent.
Interesting work...

Hi Giap
Wonderful shot, real nice composition, splended light, good shadows, in my opinion the light on her face are nearly perfect, therefor I think you have made a real good work. Makes me want to go back to east asia. Enjoing looking at it, thats wat photo is about. My compliments.

Nothing wrong with this shot at all - no OE to speak of! I like the richness of colour in her dress and the lantern. The composition, although centred, is about right for this shot, given the way the dress sits beneath her.

The only changes really would be very minor; remove the branches/leaves above her head and in the top left corner of the frame; perhaps allow a little more space on the left. But overall - stunning.

the light is good, good use of contrasting colors. sharp & crisp capture...I like it. TFS

Hello Giap,

An amazing lady dressed in red creating an amazing composition. Sharp and accurately exposed. The details in the whole photo are excellent. Very good job and high definition presentation.

hi Giap

In my view, this is a wonderful portrait because you have done a nice work for a few good reasons

.great red dress and yellow lantern
.good choice of location and sunlight
.pretty lady with nice smile and hairdo
.superb pose

I would do some changes here
.crop off just above her head
.move a bit to the right so her arm is not fronting the rock

Great work!

tfs, bill

a classic and very stylisch picture Giap, wwonderful lady and dress.

Stunning color and light in this shot. The detail is fantastic and I don't think it is overexposed. Welcome back to TL and I hope you continue to post such nice images more often. TFS

indeed the light is harsh on the neck
the girl is BEAUTIFUL !!!

I've seen your second version, it lacks some more space in front of the girl, maybe another format, like this one ???
