[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of my last nights in Bangkok I decided to take a last walk from my hotel to capture the busy nightlife of downtown Bangkok.

This photo was taken very close to my hotel from a walkway which allows you to cross this busy intersection. I forgot to bring along my Gorillapod, so I had to find something to steady my camera. Eventually I found a railing and pushed the camera down to allow for the long exposure. It was a bit of a trail and error as pushing down a camera doesn't guarantee a photo without movement. This was my third try.

My camera isn't perfect for these type of photos as I am missing the control I normally have with an DSRL. So it is a bit of a compromise to what I want and what the camera can do.

The blue hue is from the Christmas lights that were hanging over the railing of the walkway.

Hoi Niek
ik vind dit een gave foto! de brug is mooi scherp. Het geeft een leuk effect dat de weg vol lichtstrepen zit ;)

Groetjes, Ingrid

Hi Niek,
Even without a tripod you managed to create a perfect night image, good detail and well exposed.Car lights creating the movement as one wants, well captured.

Hi Niek,
I like the effect you produced in this nocturnal shot, Nice play with artificial lights and the continuous movement of the vehicles in the street which produce such lines! An interesting POV and very sharp details in the buildings.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hello Niek, you did a great job, even if it was trial and error as you suggest.
An interesting PoV; the lights and the different colours make this an eye catcher, well done.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Interesting nocturnal shot. It is pretty good considering you didnt have your tripod. Interesting angles with the lights trails and the road ways. TFS

Ciao Niek, fascinating nocturne shoot with fantastic lights, great long exposure and wonderful colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Niek, I like the lines from the traffic stopping and starting and the details in the concrete where its been dirty and wet for so long. Fiona

Hi Niek

Looks like Nana Skytrain Station along Sukhumvit Road. I will be in Bangkok in 3 weeks but only for 3 hours then off again to Turkey. A colourful nocturnal shot with some fantastic light trails of the busy traffic. I may have played with the levels in the highlights, which are a tad oe. Good sharpness which is critical to this kind of shot. Tfs!
