The Morning Run
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|A resident species spotted billed pelican starts his take off run at a local river in Sri Lanka. This place is a 7 minute hike from my place and I spent 5 days- up every morning at 6 before the sun came up trying to capture this. The pelican comes much earlier than that but the light was too low to attempt a shot and I waited for the right light and moment to capture this. Any comments welcome and thanks for viewing.|

timing is perfect as well as any other technical matter, my doubt is the greenish halo surrounding this image.Probably out-of-focus leaves in FG.Unfortunately the effect created in this way it isn't all that it should be.However i believe the subject deserved to get up at an ungodly hour for 5 days in a row.
Wow! Great timing and capture of this pelican. They look so uncoordinated taking off. Great lighting with good dof and sharp details. Well done, tfs.
Quel timing parfait !
The "morning run" is indeed good for health, and this is what this lovely bird is doing I think :)
Great focus and perfect clarity with amazing mirror-reflection and that too when the bird was in motion.
You have frozen the moment with nice sharpness and great light.
A nice display of various color tones too.
Thanks and regards,
Nice shot Dilshan. Lovely image with a beautiful reflection. Great pose and a nice compostiion. TFS, Lori
