Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin

Dating back to 1225, this cathedral is the oldest in Suzdal and one of the oldest in Russia. Its distinctive blue star-spangled onion domes are 18th Century additions while the other immediately striking feature - the huge intricate gold inlaid doors - are a masterpiece of 13th Century craftsmanship.

What fantastic vibrant color combination. The white walls are slightly OE losing detail however I think this scenario has worked well with the over all image, well seen.

A lovely structure of this Cathedral with such beautiful blue domes.
I like the green part on the white paint of the cathedral.

This is a sober cathedral.

Hi Tsilla,

You're capturing well these architectures by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the Russian style catedral with dome of onion shape and spire. The cathedral is balanced well by clean color combination of white, green and blue. And, thick/grey clouds in the sky draws out a strong impact in this image.
