A passenger ship passes accross a setting sun, I was lucky to have my camera with me and took this golden opportunity.

The ship is as if leaving behind a beautiful ocean sunset, thus the title of this photo.

Cheers!!!

amazing and vivid composition!

Hi Phil, this is stunning, I love the way the ship is in sihouette but the right side is lit up.Fiona

Hi Phil,

I love shots like this. Nice play on color, light and shadow. It would be interesting to change the crop a tad to place the horizon on the upper thirds axis. The "blue hour" sky is nice, but maybe less important in the scheme of things. Probably just my personal taste though ;)

Good colour and contrast and sharp. I like the idea od a bit more light on the ship to show some of its features. It could have been only a dark silhouette which would have spoiled the effect you have now. The ship also break the traight line of the horizon which I find very pleasing. May I suggest cropping the bottom half of the water? I will also bring the horison down and away from the middle.

Hi Phil..nice shot...dramatic and well captured. Nice focus and exposure control.

Roger

Nice shot with lovely colours although some might say the boat is a little too central.

Dear Phil,

This is simply an awesome work where you not only show a wonderful use of natural light in a dramatic way but also some great feelings flowing in here when looking at this shot!

Great sharpness and perfect POV for this amazing work.
The colors are natural and sky is well caught which brings immense mood in here.
Good work!

Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,

Hi Phil,

What an amazing sunset on the sea. The boat adds a great plus-value at the image. I like this varaiation of light passing from darkness to light. The nuances of blue are really gorgeous.

This is an amazing SHOT! I love the pp work here, all the drama added to this! the vignetting works extremely well! Nice saturation of colors and I love the light off the boat! Beautiful shot, amazing how you pulled up the light in the FG!
