Bohol Butterfly Farm.

A new beginning for a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. One can see the wing pattern on the empty shell.
The butterfly will only live a few weeks after spending too much time being a caterpillar.

Thanks for the peek!

Hi Ian,
A great Nature capture of the beginning of a butterfly just emerging from its cocoon!
A very sharp macro shot with these differently colored cocoons and the insect present in the presentation.
Good lighting and a splendid composition.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Ian,
Lovely catch on this butterfly drying its wings at the farm, lovely background and nice symmetry of the cocoons hanging waiting to hatch. Great DoF. Best wishes

Wow. Beautiful shot Ian. Lovely color and detail. Pretty blurred bg and wonderful composition. Love it. TFS, Lori

I have seen a butterfly emerging out from a cocoon, but haven't seen cocoon like these in a row. Gr8 composition and nice details. BTW what is the lifespan of a butterfly? Thanks and regards.
