What will tomorrow bring?
Shot a day before the dreaded storm that hit Manila. This is a tribute to all the 700 people who died in the ferry accident here in the Philippines, mostly women and children :(

In contrast, this boy's future maybe smiling for him, as he's with his doting parents, with a towel on his back, if ever he'd perspire.

"A photographer must be prepared to catch and hold on to those elements which give distinction to the subject or lend it atmosphere." -Bill Brandt

Hi Freddie,

a nice title for a beautiful image in a tribute to the ferry accident.

this reminds me of your earlier post in tribute to the victims of Narjis typhoon in Myanmar.

you are indeed a humanist!

Hi Fred,
Very good lighting management with details still visible in spite the high contrast. The boy is nicely placed to anchor your main scene at the same time leads the viewer's focus towards the lovely sunset. Ang galing!

A good way for a tribute of the ferry victims of the storm. How's the situation currently in the Philippines?

Bonjour Fred,
Bel hommage ! La fin d'un jour, le début d'un autre ... malgré une certaine tristesse un message optimiste ...
Très jolies teintes et un bon POV. Mes compliments.

Hello Fred,

Great image for a tribute to the victims.Nice presentation..

Excellent compo. The boy enhances an otherwise good but standard sunset postcard. Alfred

hello Freddie,
a fitting memorial to the victims of the ferry accident. Nicley framed, the evening light burnishes the scene. I like he silhoutted profile of the young child, protected and secure in a world that is not always safe.

Frank was such an innocuous name for such a devastating storm. And yet it wasn't the storm that killed those people; it was the rash decision to sail when all the other ferry lines had said 'no.'
Poignant and powerful capture

ciao Fred..
a so intense silhouette!! light and colours are a beauty!! wonderful composition.. all is perfect here! so moodly! bravo!
ciao Marco
