[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I'm sure many people would agree that using dead animals to decorate your front door is a strange custom. Looks sort of wild west here with the water buffalo skulls adorning the wall of this Ifugao hut high in the forested hills of Luzon Island. Added a little saturation & played around with the levels.

Hi Chris,

It is very strange to decorate a house with a dead animal head. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the animal head. It is clear and precise. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Chris, it was the colours that attracted me to your shot.The composition is interesting and the tight crop enables us to see the details quite clearly.
Is the custom anything to do with superstition?

Hi Chris,
Nice colours and textures in this one.
Unusual, yes, but no different to our maori bone carving, scrimshaws etc.
Definitely not what I would hang on our front door.

Our family have used water buffalo in our farm but I've never seen any of our tenants decorating their home with a skull. But Luzon and the Ifugaos are intirely different cultures. Nice capture of the skull with good pov and dof with nice details. I do like the color. Well done, tfs.

I am not really surprised that these skulls are adorning the wall.I should have done the same thing if I had a hut like this.What for me is really mad is to pretend to close the door with this thin stick which will not resist to the smallest pull... ;)))
