|the Kagsawa Church Tower then, Cagsawa Ruins|
shot last July 13, 2006 while Mayon slightly erupted with almost zero visibility at the back of the tower, which is the Mayon Volcano, fyi.
on February 1, 1814 Mayon eruption, recorded as the worst eruption of Mt. Mayon which killed 1,200 people and caused the Kagsawa Church to be submerged in the fast action of mudflow. Only the belfry remains prominent today. The place is now called Cagsawa Park managed by the municipal government of Daraga, Albay

A very interesting note, and excellent picture. The colors are very nice! When I visit there this winter I would like to try to find this place. TFS
Never been to this part of the country, but the scenery is real nice. You never think that this beautiful place is a witness to such a tragic disaster during the days... TFS! Well captured!
