The massive stupa at Boudhanath, in Kathmandu, Nepal. The multitude of prayer flags & some tourists, give some indication of scale. I've used a 28mm lens here but perhaps Whitenight's 16mm fisheye lens, would work better here? It wasn't possible to move any further back.

"The Great Stupa of Boudhanath is the focal point of the district, and in fact until the 1980's there was very little else here. Since then, there has been a construction boom, and outwardly, at least, there is little these days to distinguish it from any other congested Kathmandu suburb. The culture, though, remains very much Himalayan with a strong presence of Tibetans and Sherpas, and this can be evidenced by the number of restaurants selling momos and thukpa and other Tibetan favorites. In fact, when traveling into the area, it is often the sight of maroon clad Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns that indicates you are getting close. Boudhanath remains a fascinating area with many Buddhist temples and eccentric characters, though don't come expecting to find a peaceful and quiet environment to sit and contemplate the wonders of the stupa. If you do, you'll be disappointed."

Hi Chris,
What a nice golden monument with all sorts of colorful flags hanging to the top!
A nice wide angle POV for such a huge structure which can be compared precisely with the size of human biengs!
Very sharp capture and a pleasant composition.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Amazing location, a breathtaking structure and all the flags must be so amazing in the wind. Those eyes gazing out are quite memserising!

What a fascinating place Chris ... you've captured this from a good perspective, to include the people as well as the top of the structure. Colors seem to be true, and the people add a good sense of scale.
I'll be away to Costa Rica for two weeks. See you then ...
Happy Spring.

Hello Chris,

I do receive some interesting facts from TL!
It's like a world trip every day!
I like your upward pov on this, nicely symmetrical and perfectly cropped. The people add that interesting human elelment as well as a sense of the dramatic scale.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris,

It might have been nice to have a super-wide angle lens for this, but your framing worked nicely. One gets a good idea of how large the stupa is. Very sharp, with nice color saturation. TFS

Have a great weekend.
