Not a macro but a close-up , full zoom for this one , do not know the species nor the name of this cute little one . Taken at the top of Princess Hill ( Bukit Puteri in Malaysian ) across from the central market in downtown Kuala Terengganu . I spotted the little creature resting head down a few meters away over a fence in some leafy bushes .
Iso 80, f/4.5 , 1/200s ,
Thanks for the peek,

I like your pov and it has a good dof with good details. Nice framing. Great colors. Well done, tfs.

Hello, striking and elegant close up this beautiful insect. Thanks for your comment on my shot,I did not use a flash.Best regards Otto.

A lovely macro capture from a beautiful moth with nice details, Carol!

I like an elegant framing here but I am bit skeptical about the way you positioned the subject in a vertical frame, as the moth is looking downwards and to give the picture more space more at the bottom rather than providing unnecessary space on the top, just my humble opinion. Hope you don't mind.

Other than that, the colors and sharpness are well done.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carol,
A very sharp macro, indeed!
Wonderful lighting and a nice positioning of the butterfly in the lower part of the presentation.
Marvelous colors and nice play with shadows!
Great details on the insect and a neat presentation. A neat white frame to compliment.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

superbe macro et image, quelle couleur et constraste ce papillon noir et bleu sur ces feuilles vertes brillantes, grandisoe.

Bravo et amitié

Hi Carol.
A wonderful and absolutely exotic for me which I have never seen live, this beauty is beautifully framed as the BG vertical framing with the contrast colors gives a very nice prominent look to this amazing beauty specially the neon kind lighting on her delicate wings,a lovely presentation indeed.
Best Wishes

Beautiful shot Carol. First of all, your composition is great. And I love the rich green with the dappled sunlight on the leaves. And the butterfly looks as though it's touched by the sun too, on the bright white spots. Very well spotted and taken my friend.
Hope you have a nice weekend.
(I'll send an e soon:)

wow Carol...when I opened the thumbnail I had a fantastic surprise... I like the sharpnessit is soclear and still real., the green is a perfect ground to show these fantastic winds.I like the vertical composition it make all the diference. I get boring with usual and when the diferent is good it is a bonus to the eyes.
I am your fan...and with good reasons .
Um abraço
