[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This dominant male has a fearsome appearance and with the strength of 10 men deserves a lot of respect. The large face is only found on the main male in any group of individuals. They do not appreciate any younger male showing an interest in the breeding females and this one had seriously bitten several other males who didn't know the pecking order.

Very interesting picture.
Best regards.Alin.

Bonjour Murray

Superbe portrait de cette incroyable "tronche".
Sa posture est vraiment intrigante... prêt à entamer une discussion.
Bonne gestion de la lumière qui permet d'avoir de très bons détails.
Bravo Murray!

That goatee is amazing - the differences between them and humans is small indeed, barely 1 or 2% of our DNA.

(But then, apparently we share 50% of our DNA with bananas. I see no similarity there.)

I do think you could've gone for a faster shutter here, even with the f/9.0 aperture - the highlights on his cheeks are a little too bright.
