Not a photo art this time. Just one of picture I really like, or if i can say the best picture i took that day in my opinion. It's not because it's technically good, but more into the mood of this picture gives me.

Just convert into b/w using grad map and resize and framing.

Hello Yan,
i like your photo too.
Shadow at the first plan makes interesting contrast.
Your photo has a lot of feelings.
Best regards,

A fine mood shot, Yan, and a well-chosen image for black and white. I like the use of light and shadow, especially, the line of the footprints, the perspective of the small figure in the vastness, the angle that shows us rock and cloud. Very artistic, and a piece to be proud of.

Hi Yan,

I can see why you like this one...it's an excellent shot. Nice conversion to B&W, great DOF and very nice lighting. Composition with the fottsteps leading to the solitairy person is pleasing to say the least. Fine posting in all aspects.

Love this! And it looks like a path to self-awareness to me! Which is GOOD! IF you don't go within, you will go without! Love this in BW, really excellent leaving the shade into the sun!

Hi Yan..I like your composition...well done.

Very moody indeed. Nice composition with the diagonal shadow and then the diagonal footsteps leading to the lonely man. I'm trying to learn more about post processing and notice that you used grad map to convert to B&W. I know the result turned out just right, but why did you use this method? Thanks in advance. Karin

hi yan, yes it has a good mood to it, great lead in lines with the footprints-a great idea, the shadow works well too, everything leads to the person, nice post,

Hi Yan...
Beautiful [email protected] shot...
Nice composition...
Nice tones...
Best regards...

Technically: compositionally spot-on as I'm sure you know. Lead-in, horizon. Nice deep contrasts in the b&w.

But I agree with you. It just has a feelgood factor. Beautiful shot. You're a tough critic sometimes but I always take note of your opinions because you are one of the most accomplished photographers here and you always stay honest - I admire that.
