[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Near the border between Sikkim, India and Tibet, China
is this exquisite natural lake, named Gurudongmar Lake. Located at a high altitude of 17100 ft at a distane of nearly 200 kms from Gangtok, the capital of the state of Sikkim. This is the 14th highest lake in the wirld. Between the two snowy peaks seen in the photo is the glacier frem which this lake originates.
One needs a special pass to visit this border location.
The nearest hub is Lachen from where on has to travel about 50 kms in a car to reach this picturesque location in North Sikkim. On the way comes a small , dreamy hamlet of Thangu. A peak named Kanchengayo(23000ft) is very close to the lake.

Very nice landscape. But too bad we have a lot of stuff on the beach...can't you take it away?

Hi Saibal,
A very beautiful place, but your photo is largely over-exposed. The composition could have avoided all the debris on the beach.
