Sok Kwu Wan Harbor - Hong Kong
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This is not how most people would expect a photo from Hong Kong would look like. No tall buildings, buzzing street life or neon lights. But this is still Hong Kong.|
On my day off in Hong Kong I took the ferry to Lamma Island to get away from the tall buildings, the buzzing street life and the neon lights. Just a 30 minutes ride and you sort of step back in time. It is a sort of quick retreat to unwind and relax. Although, a lot of people think that way, and it is still rather busy.
This shot was taken at the end of our long walk over the island while waiting for a ferry to bring us back to Hong Kong Island. The sun was setting and there was just enough light to make this photo of a fisherman returning home from a day in his office

Thank you for sharing this and taking us to places most of us will never see (I speak for myself only). Such a wonderful scene that is nicely composed. The foreground boat is perfectly positioned in a sweet spot.
Nice shot Niek. Wonderful composition with sharp detail and soft color. Well done. TFS, Lori

A very sharp capture and such natural colors.
Lighting is perfect to produce such a neat presentation. Composition is pleasant and the ripples in the water created by the boat is enhancing and giving life to this postcard of Hong Kong.
My best regards,
Very nice capture. I like your pov and it has a good dof with sharp details. Good colors and textures. Well done, tfs.

Interesting note, as well as the aquatic scene.
All cities have bustling areas and other quieter.
