Some fine detail with strong definition in this shot, Monique.
Exposure and contrast are spot on, as are the natural colours throughout, and the depth of field works perfectly with just the right amount of bokeh to the background reeds.
Although the composition is really quite well done, I think it's zoomed in a little too much, and I think having a little more of the boat and oar, with a little more water in the right 2/3rds of the frame would've had more impact and added to the story of his quest.
In essence though, a great shot, well handled and executed.

I fully agree with Martin's comment.
Very well composed with perfect exposures throughout.I do agree that the cropping is a tab too tight and more of his canoe should have been shown, none the less a great presentation.
