This is one of the many entrances of the main temple 'The Bayon' at Angkor Wat ,the largest of all Cambodian archaeological sites .For a brief description of 'The Bayon ' please see my previously posted photo 'Faces of Bayon '. As you can see the jungle has claimed back its territory slowly , it is a tremendous sight being able to view enormous tree roots engulfing whole , lifting up and literally breaking apart some of the sturdy stone structures , believe me , don't underestimate the power of a tree.
Made a few corrections in order to make this scanned picture look as appealing as possible for this Friday' s theme .
Thanks,Carol

HI Carol
Incredible shot of these roots swallowing the building.
You did a great job of scanning, as the details are so precise. This would look great in B&W.
Great shot

Impressionnant.

Robert

Hi Carol,

Impressive photo of the Bayon Temple. The enormous roots of the ceiba trees are fantastic. I like the natural colours and the composition. The photo reminds me the days spent in Cambodia. Thanks for sharing
