[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A lone egret strikes down on a fish with it's glorious feathers bathed in backlight at a water treatment plant that I frequent when the time and weather permits. I studied the location using Lightrac for Ipad which is a really invaluable piece of software for nature photographers and landscape photographers in planning for the best light. This enables me to use a map of the exact location and superimpose the sunset, sunrise and current sun angle at any given location so that I know where the best light is for the required photograph! In this instance I positioned myself to enable me to create this image and this advanced planning worked rather well. Any comments welcome and thanks for viewing.

Excellent capture and sharpness, I like very much the blue light colors.
The movement of the water is pslendid to, great détails and sharpness of the wings.
Reflections is amazing, TFS.

A wonderful moment and above all, a divine light you have caught on the semi-permeable wings of this beautiful bird, Dilshan!

Great details and perfect sharpness on this white bird.
The colors are natural and light is delicately handled.

Your timing was everything is this shot Dishan. I love the striking position, and the open wings. For me, the best part is the water. I am a huge fan of photographing water and and all of it's unique shapes and reflections. This is greatc... love the vivid blue and the stripes and reflections. really great!
