[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a stork billed kingfisher- one of the largest members of the king fisher family. Very difficult to photograph as they are not approachable but this one posed nicely for me with a good bg to help add depth to the composition....hope you like it.

Shot in 12 Bit Raw, processed in LR 3.0 with CS5 resizing, frame and output sharpening.

Hi Dilshan...fantastic colors and sharpness in this shot...well done.

What a net (details, colours, lights,POV) lovely and happy poster well done dilshan mahdi hussainmiya.

An original approach to catch this majestic Kingfisher with such amazing details, Dilshan!
When I first saw the thumnail of this picture, I immediately knew that it is from you.

Great sharpness and perfect POv for this work.
The contrast between the bird and the blurry BG is amazing.
Well done!

Thanks and regards,

Hi Dilshan,
What a colorful bird in perfect sharpness!
Great use of shallow focusing with such a telephoto lens!
Wondeful bokeh BG to render a 3D effect of the bird.
Very neat work.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Very nice capture of this kingfisher. Haven't seen one of those since I left the Philippines 46 years ago. Good dof with sharp details. Love the colors. Well done, tfs.

A fanstastically colored subject with great bokeh background and fine sharpness and details. You POV and the pose you caught makes a fine composition.

Fantastic shot Dilshan. Another amazing subject well captured. Beautiful color, sharp detail, great dof. Love it. TFS, Lori
