|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|A favorite landscape spot of mine that I visit now and then...It started to drizzle on this day and the reflectivity of the water was very low. So I decided to convert this into a selective color shot to elevate the mood of the dull gray sky and highlight the lone boat. |
Shot on a tripod in Manual Mode with a wireless remote trigger. VR off, 14 Bit Raw mode.
Any comments welcome and thanks for viewing.

A nice moody presentation to depict Lonliness!
This sole boat in such a perfect positioning in the frame to conform with the thirds!
Great management in lighting and a superb square format. I like the diffused lighting of this dull day rendering such a mood.
Well done for this neat presentation.
I like the mood you have captured from this location!
A well positioned boat within a thin white-lined frame , make it a classical kind of photography.
The sharpness and POV are excellent, and light is quite well managed.
I was just wondering whether you deliberately chose a 600px length for this picture rather than choosing 800px?
A wonderful work!
Lovely shot. I like the idea of converting to B/w, it brings out the details which probably would have been lost in the colour shot with the dull weather. I like the square format of the composition as it shows the rain on the water. Someone gave me a tip once that on grey drizzly days, to shoot on shade setting to warm up the shot. I suppose it can be done in PP too as you have used RAW. You have captured here though a wonderfully atmospheric image.
Very nice composition and I like the mood especially in B&W. Great pov and dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.
very interesting composition and good choice of work. I like it.
I love the mood of this shot Dilshan. The hazy gray is so soft and so pretty. Great pov and composition. Well done! TFS, Lori
