How do you think the reflection of the sun came to happen on the sandal of this young schoolgirl , It just happened without me noticing it at all, not a p-processed effect,i swear ,it went unaware of me until my return home even after i had done my usual screening each evening in my hotel room , deleting those uninteresting ones to make room on my memory card. I believe it's nothing that particularly impressive just a fortunate event that 's all nevertheless at the time of the shoot i wished to capture moments of the daily life in a water village .Kampung Ayer is in fact made up of 28 water villages built on either side of the river Sungai Brunei in Bandar Seri Begawam , the capital city . An estimated 30,000 people live in these villages-- exploring is such an interesting and eye-popping experience .A maze of wooden plankwalks connect each house to each other , i 'd like to stress that clinics , workshops , shops , schools ( large ones at that )yes , even fire houses and floating petrol stations are parts of the daily services delivered to the population. Water taxis shuttle people back and forth between early morning and late evening !

Hello Carol,
a ready hand you have! Nice contrast between the clarity of her dresses and the dark of the BG.

Interesante Carol,
reflejo realmente original...
exquisita escena y colores hermosos.
saludos amiga.

We'll say that's extremely lucky timing Carol!! Good thing you didn't delete it as you perused your shots in the evening. Do you think she had a stone of some kind on her sandal, or maybe a toe ring??
A real nice composition with the roofline and boardwalk (perfectly level:), and the girl off center. That sparkle of course .. well it adds the unexpected sparkle to this shot! And I love the way the girl is illuminated against the shaded area.
Very interesting note too (yes, I always read your notes:). How fascinating it must have been to see these water villages!
Bueno trabaja mi amigo!

This is so exciting. I've often discovered things that I didn't know were there until I downloaded but this is a real treat!! An example perfect timing!!! Nice detail as well. TFS

Hi Carol,

Wow! What a fascinating place to visit. To the inhabitants, it's home. To a foreigner like me, it's a place that is filled with wonder and awe! How wonderful to have captured this girl going to school. I like the contrast of her white clothing against the blues of the building. I like how the background consists of straight lines and harsh edges. It contrasts nicely with the curves formed on the girls clothing and of course the pink and white. The sparkle on her shoe is just "icing on the cake"! (Lucky you!!!) :) Lisa

Another of your jewel images, and Iam not referin to the sandal!!
Felicidades y un abrazo
