Here is another casual shot from my new 'friend' :)

These are my daughter's shoes. We'll say goodbye to them soon, because summer is knocking on the door...

I took this shot in normal room lighting conditions, while trying the Sepia effect of my camera...
BTW, I've noticed that it's too much easier to shoot at low shutter speeds with this camera, than with my old Zenith... I think the mechanical release system of the old one is the reason...

So, I have set ISO to 400, because graininess was just what I wanted to see in this shot, and to speed up the shutter a little.

1. Crop
2. Created a mask to select the background then darkened it using the Burn tool with a very soft setting
3. Curves adj/lyr: (in/out) 150/90, 115/40, 200,200
4. Brightness/Contrast adj/lyr: -15BR, +20CONT
5. USM: 110%, 1.0px, 0 threshold
6. Framed
I'm posting the original as a WS.

Very good work and a nice result. Its good to see the original to see what PP work you've done.
Very creative,well done!

Comment rester insensible à cette paire de chaussures ! La photo parle beaucoup plus : des sentiments, la joie d'un enfant, etc.
Très bien vu Garo.
How to remain insensitive to this pair of shoes! The photograph speaks much more: feelings, the joy d'un child, etc. Very well considering Garo.

Very good bright/rich colors. Lighting is superb. I like the simplicity of this shot. Turn it into a sepia. I think it will be even more powerful.

I really like the soften light in this shot. Nice work processing and framing. Very nice job.

nice colors and great sharpness. Good DOF.

I like the result. It's a very good photo and you have make a good work with the PP. Well done Garo.

(I like more the NEW sepia color of your daughter's shoes).

I like the composition allthought I would hide the foreground lace, but this iy only my tase. The PP is excellent. The result is great. Very well done.

Very, very nice! I love the intimate feel to this, and the warmth. Negative space really adds an interesting dimension here.

So very very sweet. Somehow, there is a lot of emotion in this picture Garo. The picture reminds me of my own tiny shoes a used to have as a child. My parents saved them for me. You should do the same.:) At the moment my litle shoes are in a box somewhere in the basement, but i would never get rid of them. Light and contrast is lovley.

Garo, You not only did an outstanding job with photographing and post-processing work but it brings back happy memories of when my kids filled little shoes like these. Thanks for sharing and God's best to you, Tim

Dear Garo,
Lovely picture, and I do like the title. Thanks for sharing how you carried out your concept, very useful.

First, let me thank you for posting details of your postwork to get this very attractive image. It's an encouragement and a source of inspiration. That being said, I like the simplicity of this shot, the perfect quality, and somehow, the tenderness coming out of it.

Plus an artist work, the divinal light and the well chosen ton, I adored.

very nice and warm picture...I liked the light and framing very much..
thanks for very neat notes too...

Wonderful colors and composition ! Contrast impact with background excellent and don't give an agressive picture. It keep the gentle accent of the little shoes... Very good job !

Looks so simple... Making a picture of a pair of children shoes, but you did it in a way that makes the image very attractive!
I also like that nice warm light against that dark background. Well done!

beautifull photo.Good contrast of the colors.Like a lot.Goes to favorites.Congratulations

I really like this photo! The colors are wonderful and post processing work is excellent. You did a great job achieving the graininess you were going for - it suits the mood of the photo perfectly. Great job!

This is wonderful Garo, and what a lovely memory to keep for ever. The black background is good, and the sepia tone really suits this image. Perhaps, as the shoes are pointed to the left, the negative space would look better that side, instead of the right. Just a thought. Well taken, and very well done.

I'm very impressed with the postprocessing and the final result is awesome. Thank you.

Hello Garo. Seeing both photos ( the original and this one ) is unbelievable what a difference a good work on photoshop may result. Congratulations. I imagine that you're sensing the same big difference migrating from zenith to A60 and A60 to G3, i'm right ? eduardo

This is a brilliant job of post processing. To see the image of the shoes as something to shoot requires some talent, but to deliver such a wonderful image from post processing is amazing.

Great job, Wonderful note.

Cute, I have my bronzed shoes still...

Really his picture was excellent. The composition, the colors, the illumination very well controlled! congratulations friend.

Hi Garo,
this is a beautiful shot, with such a tender mood! your choice for sepia and for a dark background are very good and really enhace a lot the composition. Nice that you didn't center the shoes!

Lovely PP. I like the mood.. I am able to see the front edge of the table, was it wanted??

Take care

Shoes - can they be breathtaking? Well even they can make a lovely picture if given an expert PP. This one is tremendous Garo. Thanks for the note as well...

Amazing how creativity can turn such a simple subject into something so beautiful. Very good choice for sepia.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

This is a wonderful photo. You've done very well, lot of thought and great pp. Compliments.
